MAGAZINES/WEBZINES/RADIOS/FREELANCERS looking for PROMOS, please read:

With releases limited to 1000 or even 500 copies I could not afford to send free cds anymore, so we've succumbed to the digital promotion side and use Haulix as vehicle for our promotion.

Please do not e-mail to tell me how lame the digital prmos are. I'm not happy and do not like digital promos either, but this was the only affordable alternate solution I can think of. So for the time being it is digital pormo or no promos at all...

Having said all that, our digital promos include a complete pdf scans of all inserts, so you should be able to get fair idea of what the real cd package looks like.

Please keep in mind that you still need to qualify to our usual promo requirements:

1. You need to be working for a serious, established publication which shows integrity, commitment, and substantial fanbase relevant to our releases and sale regions.

2. You need to contact us from an official domain-based e-mail. For instance if your magazine/webzine's website is www.your-magazine.com, your e-mail should be xxx@your-magazine.com . This is not-negotiable, all requests not following this rule will be ignored.

3. We reserve the right to deny any request at our discretion, thanks.

Bands: We are constantly looking for old and selected current classic heavy/power/speed/thrash albums to release. At the moment our preferencies are focused towards re-releasing old 80es albums/demos. If you are/were in such band and interested, please get in touch.

LABEL philosophy :
Stormspell Records is a small independent label with strong emphasis on classic heavy/power/speed/thrash metal re-releases from the glorious past, aka the 80s. However, we also will release a few selected metal bands of today, as well as some melodic AOR/Hard rock gems we grew up with and still love.

Our releases are factory made silverback CDs with multi-page booklets with custom artwork and top-notch layout and design. For now, we limit our releases to 1000 copies or even less. We belive in quality, not in quantity, and our target is not to see our products clustering the cut-out bins in every chain-store, but rather do it right and delivera nice solid product to the people who care.

When applicable all our releases come with custom commissioned artwork from renowned illustrators. We are old-school and love the realistic hand-painted metal coverartworks from the 80s (Andreas Marschall, Ed Repka, Necrolord Wahlin, Kris Verwimp, etc.). We hate cheap-ass computer generated or photo-manipulated "bones-and-machine-parts" collages, thanks, but no thanks!

Moreover, we have no intention of making our releases available via any digital distributon (IE: Itunes, Rhapsody, etc). We love the physical aspect and the art of music as a whole, which unlike the direction of the industry today, will always consist of full packaging, stellar artwork, and top-notch graphic design. Music is more than downloaded mp3’s on your Ipod. Music is an art and we love to match great music with fine artwork and decent layout design. Only tangible is real, and that's what we do!
